Southern Railway will run the following Special Trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during the summer months of April, May & June 2012

1) Chennai Central – Mangalore Central - Chennai Central Superfast Weekly Specials (via.Coimbatore): T.No.06001 Chennai Central – Mangalore Central Superfast Weekly Special will leave Chennai Central at 20.45 hrs. on Wednesdays from 11.4.2012 to 20.6.2012 and arrive Mangalore Central at 13.05 hrs. the next day. T.No.06002 Mangalore Central - Chennai Central Superfast Weekly Special will leave Mangalore Central at 19.20 hrs. on Thursdays from 12.4.2012 to 21.6.2012 and arrive Chennai Central at 11.30 hrs. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 10 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Gudiyattam, Ambur, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Shoranur, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod.T.No.06002 will stop at Perambur also.

2) Chennai Central – Mangalore Central - Chennai Central Superfast Weekly Specials (via.Coimbatore): T.No.06003 Chennai Central – Mangalore Central Superfast Weekly Special will leave Chennai Central at 17.40 hrs. on Sundays from 15.4.2012 to 24.6.2012 and arrive Mangalore Central at 09.45 hrs. the next day. T.No.06004 Mangalore Central - Chennai Central Superfast Weekly Special will leave Mangalore Central at 20.30 hrs. on Mondays from 16.4.2012 to 25.6.2012 and arrive Chennai Central at 12.30 hrs. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 10 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Gudiyattam, Ambur, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Shoranur, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod.T.No.06004 will stop at Perambur also.

3) Chennai Central – Kollam Superfast Bi-weekly Special and T.No.06006 Kollam – Chennai Central Bi-weekly Special (via. Coimbatore): T.No.06005 Chennai Central – Kollam Superfast Special will leave Chennai Central at 15.15 hrs. on Mondays & Fridays from 9.4.2012 to 22.6.2012 and arrive Kollam at 05.45 hrs. the next day.T.No.06006 Kollam – Chennai Central Special will leave Kollam at 11.30 hrs. on Tuesdays & Saturdays and arrive Chennai Central at 03.45 hrs. the next day. 4) Chennai Central – Coimbatore – Chennai Central Superfast Weekly Specials: T.No.06007 Chennai Central – Coimbatore Superfast Special will leave Chennai Central at 20.45 hrs. on Fridays from 6.4.2012 to 22.6.2012 and arrive Coimbatore at 04.15 hrs. the next day.T.No.06008 Coimbatore – Chennai Central Superfast Special will leave Coimbatore at 23.45 hrs. on Mondays from 9.4.2012 to 25.6.2012 and arrive Chennai Central at 07.45 hrs. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 11 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. 5) Coimbatore – Rameswaram – Coimbatore Weekly Specials: T.No.06010 Coimbatore – Rameswaram Special will leave Coimbatore at 19.45 hrs. on Saturdays from 7.4.2012 to 23.6.2012 and arrive Rameswaram at 07.00 hrs. the next day.T.No.06009 Rameswaram – Coimbatore Special will leave Rameswaram at 19.00 hrs. on Sundays from 8.4.2012 to 24.6.2012 and arrive Coimbatore at 05.00 hrs. the next day.The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 11 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.The trains will stop at Tiruppur, Erode, Karur, Tiruchchirappalli, Pudukkottai, Chettinad, Karaikkudi, Devakottai Road, Kallal, Sivaganga, Manamadurai, Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram and Mandapam.
